Our nail art mica powder pots are small in size, but only a tiny amount is required to create gradient nail art effects, so will last for a while without taking up valuable space in your nail art kit. They are not filled right up to avoid spillages as they can be a nightmare to clean up!
All our nail art micas are approved for use in cosmetic products, with the exception of ones containing Chromium Oxide Green, such as Jade Jewel, Happy Apple & Teal Dream. Please see individual mica product pages for specific ingredients. The ingredients are all natural and meet specification set out in European Commission Regulation 231/2012.
To use nail art mica powder with gel polish, dab mica onto the colour gel polish sticky layer using a detail brush. Brush off excess mica and seal with gel top coat. Use two colours and blend in together for gradients.
To use with acrylic nail systems, mix with clear powder, suggested ratio: 1 colour to 4 parts acrylic powder.
To use with nail varnish, make a small bowl with some tin foil (unless you want to make a whole bottle up!) and put in a little clear varnish. Add some mica powder and mix thoroughly with a cocktail stick/cuticle stick until it reaches your desired colour. Apply to nail using a brush.
Due to recent news regarding child labour practices within the mining of mica in India, I have had confirmation from my mica supplier that they never have, and do not, source any products from India and the micas have not been the subject of child labour or animal testing.
